I don't have any special type of wilderness skill. I can survive in extreme situations with very few essential stuffs. I have the correct mentality and can think correctly and patiently and nervousness doesn't really get in to me.

My best skill is being organized and being able to prioritize.

Not letting yourself whirl out of control and waste precious time or get yourself hurt . . . that's the most important skill of all.

If I had to say I had one best skill to use to survive it would be Firearms, Marksmanship, and hunting. This is a skill set that I have been using most of my life.

I don't believe in one best skill for survival. IMO if someone concentrates on just one skill, survival will be impossible. This is why I am always practicing different things, testing my equipment by using it, and identifying weaknesses that I need to work on. My hope is that by the time I need to use it, I will be proficient with anything I need to use, or need to do.

My best skill would be hunting small game. I have been practicing snaring and my shot with a air rifle has improved to quite small groupings. Also learning how to get more accuracy with a catipult.

However, I cant navagate for s**t. So If i do end up in a survival situation i think i should stay where the small game is...

My best skills are the basics, shelter building, fire starting, traps & snares, self aide, signals and water procurement.
