If nothing else, Daschle's withdrawal means Obama keeps his promise of changing how politics runs in Washington, but I seriously doubt it will change Obama's using Daschle as a key adviser.

Who do you think will be next in line for the job?

Another crooked politician will be next. Daschle didn't pay the proper taxes, like many other nominations that Obama has for cabinet members. Same crooked politics as in Chicago!

Kind of ironic, don't ya think?

All kidding aside, I hope it is someone who has integrity.

In his interview/press conference today, Obama stated very clearly that he wasn't behind Daschle's withdrawal. He also stopped just short of saying that he would has still supported his appointment if he hadn't withdrawn. I would have more respect for the President if he came out and stated that his decision and he withdrew the nomination offer.

Redistribution of wealth through higher taxes only applies to normal people- not to the "gods" that "represent" us.

Poor judgment will be the mark of this administration, I believe.

He also saif that he screwed up.

How often do you hear presidents admit mistakes?

Looks like change, to me, and was a great way to rip thunder away from Republicans.

We might actually have president humble enough, and intelligent enough, to learn from his mistakes.
