Other than the typical grains, salt, sugar, legumes, etc., I'm trying to figure out what else I should seal up in 5-gallon buckets. Since I'll probably be placing a bulk order for buckets & gamma seal lids, I'm trying to get an idea of how many I should buy. I was thinking of storing things like Epsom Salts, calcium hypochlorite, and other things that need to stay dry.
Any other suggestions? I thought of putting electronic gear in them too, but since plastic pails don't work as a Faraday Cage, I'm re-thinking that angle.

Along with the things you mentioned, we use them for the produce I dehydrate from the garden. I put the dried stuff in zip-loc bags and put the bags in the buckets. We also have one filled with baking soda.

Minus the gamma seal lids, I intend to make some of my many buckets into water filters.
