I remember growing up, we had this lady who was a very close friend of the family. I use to think she was strange because in the back of her car, she basically carried enough supplies--it was like a little house. She would have food, blankets, flash lights, tools, water, books, magazines, matches--even a gun under her seat..lol

I realize now as I am older, she was just making sure we were protected in case the car broke down--especially on those cold winter nights. Back then, their really wasn't cellphones to rely on.

What is in your car? Do you prepare for that unexpected break down?

I only have a jack and spare tire. lol. I did buy a tool that can cut your seat belt and break your window in case of an accident and you can`t get out.

I have some mechanical tools and first kid kits for emergency. I have a bunch of friends houses near my area and I don't feel like carrying more things as I could take help from at any time in my locality.

In my car, I have toys, upon toys..lol (I have little ones). I have a jack and spare tire. There is always tools kicking around. There is a battery jumper pack in the back of my Jeep, which has come in handy many times. We also have napkins and kleenex. Usually when we go somewhere--the kids bring everything but the kitchen sink anyway. We always have some kind of food kicking around. I always leave my house prepared. I think the only thing I don't have--that should have--is a flash light.

Do you think you could survive in your car if you had too?

When I am going somewhere I just throw my BOB in whatever vehicle I am taking. I have what I need for just about any situation.
