What do you think is next for George Bush?
What will he do when he is out of the White House?
Do you think he will ever again be involved in any political/social activity, besides appearing here and there and waving his hand?

I feel that Bush would like to have a quiet and peaceful life. He must think of not involving in politics anymore as his popularity has plummeted to a record low level.

I think he will be held up in his home from now on with armed guards all around. I know I would if I had made this big of a mess.

stay home guarded by guards?
has he done THAT bad?

I mean, I don't think he brought the country to a good place, but guards?

of course, all past presidents receive protection from special forces anyways, but you made it sound like he is going to be hiding or something :D

Are you trying to say that Bush created the economic crisis? He didn't. The subprime loan problems started back when Clinton was President and the economomy issues have always been with us and its only been a matter of time for it to break down.

I think he will still saty involved to a certain extent. I think all the past presidents do in some way. He will be getting his enormous pay just like all the other past presidents. I don`t blame him totally for this mess but i do think he could have stopped a lot of it. Seeing that he is in oil thats probably in my mind anyway why he did what he did. But to hurt the people on medicare and medicaid I will never understand at all. I drove a cab for 2 years and there were a lot of people that got hurt by his changing policy on medically needy. So many have gone without meds or dialysis. He should be ashamed of that. I drove these people to their appointments and I saw the tears.

The biggest mistake he made is in satrting the war in Iraq. We were mislead in the beginning by Bush. There si proof of this. No I don't think he is the main cause for this economic situation. It has been a long time coming with so many with their hands in the cookie jar.

I think, he will go to an exotic country, such as Haway, sunbathing, and drinking coctails. :P

Deregulation brought us into the crises, and who was for that?

I don't think it is accurate to blame the subprime markets, when the lenders could have worked with people instead of simply foreclosing on them. You don't get any pay back when you kick someone out of the home they are trying to pay for.

There was a lot of GREED running mortgages as companies anticipated re-selling the same homes to people who had already been living in them, and getting more profits through more closing costs and higher interest rates!!

Did no one see what the mortgage brokers were up to? Don't blame people who were convinced to purchase homes with ARM's. They were assured, cajoled, and promised that they could refinance easily!

The wealthy looking for more wealth are the people to blame!

I think that George W Bush will go on the paid speech tour. Clinton for example has been earning up to half a million dollar per speech. I am sure Bush could do something similar although he is not nearly as popular as Clinton is.
