Let's keep a running thread going about what we have done recently to prepare for emergency situations. I'll start off:
This past week I went revamped my bug out bag for the coming of spring and the hiking season (reorganized the contents and swapped out and expired first aid components)
I also put fresh water in my emergency water supply (I've got two 5 gallon scepter water containers)
How about you? What have you all done recently to prepare yourself or your family for an emergency?

As for the old water, Gemmy, I used it to water the plants around the house.
I just remembered that this week I also picked up some topographical maps for my intended hiking trips this spring/summer.

Last weekend I bought a new rifle. I also worked the bugs out and have it sighted in and ready to go.

We keep our freezer stocked and are investing in seeds.
The seeds are probably more for long term purposes but one never knows when an emergency will become a lifestyle.
