Whether you're buggin in or bugging out...What do you think are the most important items to have access to (other than the obvious: food, water, shelter). I'm trying to think of specific items that are important to keep in your preps.

A couple of ideas to get the ball rolling:

- quality fixed blade knife
- means to start a fire
- knowledge and skills to actually sustain yourself
- portable light source - flashlight
- firearm
- duct tape ;)

i think the OP was looking for items other than the big three (water, food, and shelter) but regardless, I agree. Water and clean, drinkable water is the most important prep to have on hand.

Two way radio (charged and chargeable) of some sort. What do you like CB, 2 meter, other to get range or maybe a working repeater.
