Cash and tradeables are always hoardable. When anything happens consider what can be traded or sold as well as having a good supply of cash which in bad times usually has bartering ability as well.

You can carry cash with you, but keep it very less, because during a wilderness trip there are chances of robbery!! :shock:

I never go out without any cash on my pocket but I only bring small amount only. It's intended for emergency use. And I always see to it that my cash is in safety place. Sometimes, I even put it on my boots.
