Some trees can be taped for water:
Maples
American Sycamor
Beech's
To name a few.
How is this done?
First bore a hole wide enough to fit your drain tube and about 1-2 in deep. Use some type of tube as a drain places at a slight downward angle. The liquid that flows from the trees is drinkable. Works best when you secure a water catch under the drain. It can take awhile for the liquid to drip out....

This is the same method used to obtain sap from maples to be refined into maple syrup.

Good luck out there!

Thats an useful information. I know that we could extract water from trees but couldn't know about the type of trees. Now I know which trees are good for getting water. Thanks for the information.

Don't forget cacti as well- useful in a desert situation. The cacti pulp can be ground, which is the most useful way to retrieve water from a cactus.

You need to be careful with this. If you do not know the plant, don't extract water from it. You are actually getting the sap from the plant/tree/shrub/cactus, and some are poisonous. You need a guide on poisonous plants to make sure you will be safe.

Every plant stores water. So what we have to worry is we should properly know how to drain it. By mistake we should not drink the sap of the plant.

If you car in a desert, you can surely tap water from cactus. But in forest its quite difficult. There will be water source but difficult to get.

Most forest areas the watershed level isn't very deep in the ground. In a lot of areas you can dig until you are below the watershed level and allow the water to seep into the hole so you can extract it. This is how a lot of wells work.
