Does anyone know if the old style treadle (foot action) sewing machines are still manufactured? I know you can pick up an antique one and use it but I'm wondering if it might not be a good idea to buy one new if they still make them. Has anyone reconditioned an old one with success?

The last time I saw them was during my childhood when my grandmother was using them. I don't think these type of sewing machines are still there, however I know that they are available in some Asian countries.
