If you have a wood stove, like we do, often many items are burnable and can turn into ash for your garden later on or lye for soap making.
So take all burnables which are plastics, paper, board, fabric, packaging and separate it from the compost trash and cans.
Using lint and plastic jugs you need only a little fire wood to keep toasty and have a decent cooking temp on top. Keeping this going in reduces landfill waster, creates ash for sweetening fields and lye for making soap.

That sounds interesting. I'd be concerned myself about burning materials that may emit gas into the home as they burn.

I assume you have a way of determining what's safe to burn in your wood stove?
