Ok maybe that was a little strong, but it got your attention. I have a passion for helping people prepare for emergencies and self-reliance. I am Mormon. I share this with y'all to help you understand some of my references. I found there was no ONE source for everything. My blog has been an attempt to solve this. Listen to the wisdom of the prophet, get a years supply of food, water and where possible fuel. Start with a 3 month supply and work your way up, don't go into debt or panic buying. Build it up gradually, when buying one can at the store, get a second one. I also have ward and stake plans for members/leaders.
Just email me. gist1776@aol.com
Thanks, welcome feedback. Best of luck! Gist

WELCOME!

I agree with starting your food preps buy buying an extra can or whatever of what you are buying. I started by setting up my menu for 2 weeks, then a month, and so on. I am still slowly adding. I don't know about a years worth of food. I will stop adding when I no longer have the room to put all of my food and survival gear into my bug out vehicles. I currently have a truck and a van, and will be adding a trailer sometime in the future.

I do not store a years worth of fuel. I store 110 gals of gas for bug out or generator use. I have 55 gal of kerosene for heat. I have 120 lbs of propane for use on the grill, propane lantern, camp stove, and if I really need it, a propane lantern. I also have a pump that I use to pump fuel and kerosene out of the 55 gal drums they are stored in, and I also have a hose that I could use to pump fuel from underground tanks, like those at gas stations.

I also have a small group started that includes my family and a few other families that believe as we do. Bigger bug out items are also supplied and stored by different people as we define our responsibilities in the group.

Feel free to post or ask question when you have something to add.

Welcome to the forum. Btw, if I'm not mistaken, we have a rather nice emergency preparation guide posted on the site that was prepared by LDS.

*after brief search*

Ah, here it is:
