I was thinking of stocking up on good ol' TP...but how much of a necesity is it? Truly I could survive without it...but isn't it worth stocking up, at least a little bit?

TP is much better than leaves of a pinecone... ;)

I'm all about being one with nature, but I'm not about to even try a pinecone!

Just make sure you're not washing in your source for drinking water. Then you'd have some much bigger problems.

I can live without a toilet paper because I use water all the time in terms of sanitation. If you are in the middle of the jungle, you have no choice but to use the basic.

Carrying tp with you is a waste-- takes a lot of room. I stock up at home though- In case we lose power here. I want to have a lot of tp. I also have a crick that runs out back- so I always have water if need be. Usually we just go out to the crick to carry in water to flush the toilets (when out of electricity).

I went on a 23 day Alpine Wilderness course in high school and we weren't allowed to have toilet paper. I survived just fine and I don't think it is a necessity.

Toilet paper is valuable when it comes to long distance traveling on unfamiliar lands. We may never know what type of facilities are available there. Toilet papers are very handy in most situations.
