What's a good first aid book to keep in your pack? There are so many options available that I was hoping that someone here could recommend a few options. Looking for something that would be a good reference on a wide variety of injuries and treatments. Pictures would be a plus.

The U.S. Army guide for Survival, or whatever it's called would be my pick. It's not too thick, but gives basic instructions on how to survive.

Seems like any of the pocket references would work. With medical stuff, either you know it, or you don't. If it's serious enough to need a manual, you probably won't have enough time to flip to the right page. However, it could be useful for the slower killers, such as heat exaustion.

red cross safety and first aid book will be helpful even to normal people because the steps and guidelines mentioned in that book is very easy to understand.
