I guess there will be a warning board before you enter the thin ice be aware of that.

Yeah it happened to me as well. The ice was very thin and i just ran over it and fell in to the water. Thank god i had company to save me.

While going for ice fishing, never go without a company. And the previous poster said about the floating bag or something. Tats a pretty good idea.
