Is it possible to survive in an unfamiliar forest with a lot of predator and hostile animals around us. I mean can you survive with lions, tigers and other hostile animals for about a month in a dense forests with your survival kit with supplies running for only one week.

I personally make it a point to know the area I am going into to some small extent. Knowing just a few of the natural edibles can help with survival in any place. As for dangerous wild animals, I've come to understand most animals will avoid human contact if possible. When avoiding is not possible, fire scares all animals, that is why man has come to love it so much.

If I have to survive in an unfamiliar area I would prefer it be a forest. I think a forest is the easiest place to survive. It has wood for heat and shelter, if you know edible plants they can be found, animals can be killed for food. I recommend that everyone have a firearm for defense and survival. It makes it easier to gather food, and if you run into a large animal you can defend yourself and possibly have an abundant source of food as well.

Most animals are afraid of man. That being said, having some sort of weapon will help your chances of survival, as well as cooking/eating food AWAY from your camp site. A large majority of the bear attacks around here could be avoided by following that simple rule- bears need food too, and they just might fight you for your meal.

One month with just the emergency pack not at all possible wild animals fear humans but not when the human is at their home, Sit in a tree for one whole month with your kit, if you are lucky you live again.

Yeah you can but for food, you have to hunt and you should also know how to kill the predators.

Its quite a difficult task and not at all a good thing to be alone in the forest even if we have the food with us. Being alone in the forest is a bad idea and with wild animals around is a dangerous thing.

Its not at all possible to live in the forest, without having an idea of where we are staying, we wont stay at a place like this and if the situation arises then we would try to make out from the wild with the things we have and get try to get back to safety.

With a lot of predators and no knowledge about the place, it damn difficult to survive. But if you are real smart, can really make way out of the faorest.

You need to be aware of your surroundings and have a means to defend yourself against predators and large animals. You need to clean game and cook your meals away from your camp. If large animals smell your food they will not be drawn to your camp.
Once you have the means to deter and protect yourself from animals, surviving in the forest is actually better than anywhere else. It is a good source of meat, contains more edible plants, and water is easier to find. I will take my chances in a forest before any other type of terrain if I have my choice.
