Since Halloween has come and gone, I figured it would be safe to bring up the subject of holiday gifts. I was just wondering what everyone was asking for this year. I'm trying to come up with some good ideas for my husband and I'm rather stuck. So I was hoping that some of the survival guys here would share what they would like to get or suggest some ideas.

I have been thinking about this for sometime. I don't like going in for all the commercialism of Christmas, So I am designing "Time Capsules" for family as a way to promote posterity....and to leave something for future generations to let them know we were here in case something truly apocalyptic were to occur. :o

a Leatherman Wave is always a great gift for a guy. Also, one of those hand crank radio/flashlight/cellphone chargers would be a nice gift too.

I came across this list of "10 Christmas Stocking Stuffers for Survivalists":

http://offgridsurvival.com/stocking-stuffers

Thought it might give everyone some ideas.

It really depends on the kind of person we are talking about. Personally, I always struggle to find a decent gift to men with more than 40 years like my father or grandfather, sometimes it seems they don't really care about anything. I used to give them small souvenirs, like mugs or ashtrays, but they barely give attention to that kind of stuff.

Only recently I found a solution. If you have the same problem, just offer them food and/or drinks they really like but can't eat/drink all the time, for some reason. Now I always give them cheese, bottles of wine, traditional cakes, etc... at least it's guaranteed they like it, lol

Cheers
