In order to preserve the quality of this website, the following forums will be locked to users who have less than 250 total posts:

Sports Talk
Television, Movies And Music
Political Forum
Everything Else

For now, those forums are locked. The posts can be viewed, but no additional posts can be made at this time. In the coming days, we will be implementing a system that will allow veteran users (those users with over 250 posts) to post in these forums.

Nothing improper has been posted in those forums, but we want to ensure that the majority of posts are relevant to the purpose of this forum.

I think this is a good policy.

I also think that it would be a good idea to institute a system of warning and banning for those who spam the site with tricks, obscenities, or inappropriate links.

It would be really great if the content could stay at a level that people could feel free to view at work and not get into trouble.

An example of this is
take-it-easy-780.html

Nobody appreciates spamming and being led to sites that have virus warnings or material that could get them into trouble with their employers. Most employers have no problem with recreational browsing while on break . . . this is a big way that people keep in touch with their stuff.
