Hey gang, I've done business with Baytec Containers before and they seem to be reputable with decent prices. My last purchase was for used, food-grade 55-gallon and 15-gallon blue plastic barrels. They run specials on shipping and other sales pretty routinely, so it pays to check their site from time to time. When I bought my barrels, I was looking for used barrels on sale with free shipping. Eventually, that combination/offer came around.

They also stock new 5-gallon pails and a variety of gamma lids. I'm thinking of purchasing my buckets from them for grains and other things I want to keep from the elements. Their 5-gallon buckets are currently on sale for $4.29 each (they get cheaper if you buy in quantity), and gamma seal lids on sale for $5.95 each (again, cheaper in quantity).

Not sure what kind of prices other folks are getting for these types of things, but Baytec seems very reasonable to me.

EDIT: They also have mylar food bags and oxygen absorbers.

5 gallon buckets? FREE!!

We go to a small Chinese resturant fairly often and have gotten to know the owner. He saves the buckets that their soy sauce comes in. We have about 50 of them now. No gamma lids but hey, they're free! :D

Can't promise you that they are food grade, but home depot sells 5 gallon buckets for $2.49 each. Or a five pack for $11.70.
