My son is 21 and a welder. He got laid off last November and still can`t find a job. He has applied at so many places. What do you do when no one will hire you? He lives here and he eats here. And he eats a lot! I don`t know what he is gonna do. He is even applying at fast food places with no success.

Is he the one that went into job corps? that stinks Hoy! It's a tough economy. Is he able to get any help from the government (food stamps, etc.) how about unemployment?

It's tough out there-- I think a lot of people are staying in jobs they dislike- just because it's tough to find a new one.

I think the situation is gloomy everywhere. Two of my friends have lost their job and doesn't know what to do next. It is better that we wait for the time to change and to make a living once the depression starts to die.

Has he tired putting out fliers and running an ad as a welder for hire, or looked for work as a handyman?

If he could get a little of that going he might find himself working for himself and loving it, while making decent money, after the economy recovers.
