The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has made files for the Ready Campaign's publications available to the public to download at no cost. As a result, organizations can reproduce these materials and help expand the reach of this critical information. If you wish to place your organization's logo or mailing information on the publication, please download the customizable brochure back cover.

Some of the publications available are:

"Family Emergency Plan" Quadfold Brochure
"Preparing Makes Sense. Get Ready Now." Trifold Brochure
"Are You Ready?" Manual
"Emergency Supply List"
"Older Americans" Quad-fold Brochure
"Disablities and Special Needs" Quad-fold Brochure
"Information for Pet Owners" Trifold Brochure

Seems like a good thing to hand out to friends and family that are not as prepared as others.

Jambi, you read my mind! I was just thinking of my mom and dad when I read this post. They really need to be more prepared for the inevitable disaster, but they always think that there will be others to help them out.

One of the best publications from Ready.gov is the manual/guide titled "Are You Ready?". I've uploaded a copy of the file to the server here so you can download it right from this site.
