Do all governments are always prepared for emergencies, for huge disasters! i doubt it,and for the next period of economic recession the case will be worse! so every individual should take care of himself and his family and get prepared by himself

Princess? does the name "Katrina" sounds familiar?........that's a very good example of what will happen in the future WTSHTF.

At one time the US had grains, powder milk, peanut butter, and so on, in reserved for one year and then for six months and then for one month and then for two weeks......and now..... for one meal.......if you can get to it.

I am a firm believer in the old saying that says "God help those who help themselves" glad to say that HE, IT, SHE is giving me a lot of help.

I doubt it too that any government was prepared for such a financial crisis nor people, now everybody is rushing to control his finances.

I am sure that not all government can be prepared to handle a disaster that is totally unexpected. Events like Katrina are the worst reminder how people should help themselves out. Government can play little or no role on disasters occurring within a short time and at a totally unexpected time.

I have a feeling that it will take sweeping social change for our government to be prepared to help the average citizen during emergencies.

I have a feeling that sweeping change is actually in the works as we speak.

The government will prepare only during that time taking orders. Better we should be prepared and protect our family and friends.

NO i would say not anyone of the govt is prepared for any natural disaster's , when at times of an emergency they would make funds and say that it will be used but as time passes the funds will there be in name only. Keep yourself and your family prepared.

Governments will be prepared for any natural disaster. They are always ready for those kinds of situation. But Some unique or new situation they will take some time to learn about it and be prepared for it.

Governments are not prepared for emergencies. Ask the people of New Orleans. I do not trust the government to come through for me and my family, that is why I prepare.
