if the US government isn't prepared enough, what other government will be!

I don't think any government is properly prepared. They are just like the majority of the people, reactive rather than proactive.

I guess the government is prepared for most of the situation like terrorist threats, etc..
and from the new situation, they will be prepared for any financial instability.

Government they wont be prepared and obviously they will be late in any rescue mission. For our own safety, we should device our own plans and safeguard ourselves.
