Some believe that the hardtimes are yet to come,so it is recommended to get prepared enough for

that,Always stay ahead of the game. Search for next job before current job ends. Get out before the

company goes under. This way you'll not be fighting with everyone who've just lost their job.

Keep you eyes open for opportunities. Get ready to make changes for better future.

I think its a case of - "When you get to the end of your rope - tie a knot in it and hang on" - till things get better.

Its certainly a time of gathering all your resources and seeing what you can do with them.

Its a time of coming up with creative solutions.

Its a time to be positive.

Out of struggle grows strength.

I'm not sure about this, to be honest. I might have my eyes and ears open, but to leave a job on a guess or assumption doesn't seem smart, unless you're high enough on the chain to have inside scoop. Company B isn't going to hire a job hopper. That's what some folks are finding out. Highly qualified people aren't getting jobs because employers know they'll bail as soon as they can find something better.

I do believe in creative solutions though.

Ya, it's very scary out there right now. If I worked in a company--I don't think that I would be moving to another job so fast. I would keep my eye open but what's to say the same thing isn't going to happen?

There is so many people out of work right now--the job competition is fierce. I think I would be staying put.

I do agree that you should be looking at all your resources and possibly find ways to make some extra money to tuck away--just in case. I often think about the great depression. If they could do it then, we can do it now.

Yes, hard time can stuck at anytime. It is us who have to prepare to tackle any kind of situation. It is better to be prepared than thinking later that our life would have been different if we had prepared for this event beforehand.

It is always best to have a second source of income... online or offline job... selling items... any small business of any kind.
