Hi folks,

I am new to this group but a long time off-grid homesteader.

I live in a solar cabin I designed and built myself for under $2000. I use solar electric for water pump, lights, tvs, laptop and gadgets. Propane for fridge, stove, furnace, and OD water heater.

I use a solar composting toilet of my own design, harvest rain and greywater, and drilled my own well by hand.

I raise chickens, rabbits, and a garden for food.

Anyone else living off-grid or want to learn how ?

LaMar

Hi LaMar,

Welcome to the group! I've got plenty of questions that I will send your way at some point. The whole concept of living a self sustained lifestyle amazes me. You're living my dream. :)

Hi Lamar,
I looked up your website and bought your book. It looks quite incredible. Can't wait to read it!
Thank you!

Hi Lamar. Could you tell us what the most challenging aspect to living off the grid has been for you? Thanks!
