I read an article stating that most of our fruits and vegetables are grown with hybrid seeds, resulting in seeds that might not germinate unless conditions are perfect.

Where can one buy non-hybrid seeds?

I also order from johnnyseeds.com, the germination ratio seems to be higher than most others with Johnny's Seeds. Plus, they even encapsulate the smaller seeds in peat pellets, to make it easier to sow smaller seeds.

I don't think hybrid seeds won't germinate. The hybrid seeds are more likely to germinate in all conditions when compared with the ordinary ones. They would have more production and resistant strains with them.

The germination rate has more to do with the quality of the supplier, than whether or not the seeds are hybrid. Hybrid plants are plants that are specifically designed to resist disease, or colder climates. It has nothing to do with germination rate. What "taxman" was saying, I believe, is that with a particular supplier, he's had a good germination rate (meaning they are high quality seeds, not stale seeds like you would see at Wal-Mart). Taxman, correct me if I'm wrong here.
