Anyone ordered a report from
MapHazards.com? I ordered the $10 report, which shows all sorts of hazards within a 1/2 mile radius. Things from leaking underground storage tanks, to military sites, to industrial waste sites, etc. Not a bad deal for $10. You can access the report online for 60 days for your $10. During that time, it will be updated if new hazards develop, and you can share the link to your online report with friends/family/etc. You can also print the report Although it may not list every hazard in your area, I found the information useful. They will also do custom reports for any radius from your specified location.
It should be noted that the service is still in beta format, and they're still debugging the site. I ordered my report, but then didn't receive the link to my report. The online contact form wasn't working either. I emailed them directly, and within 12 hours, they had debugged the problem (it was explained to me that they had recently changed e-mail servers, but hadn't yet updated the wesbite code. That problem has apparently been rectified, and they emailed my report link to me after fixing the problem. I expect there will be occasions where the site will be unavailable from time to time while they fix additional issues.
Anyway, they seem to be a pretty stand-up company and I'm a happy customer.
