Man vs. Wild seems so......dramatic. Survivorman seems much more realistic. So, for me, Survivorman gets the vote!

Although I have learned one or two things from Man v Wild, Bear is far to reckless in his "survival" situations. Taking unnessasary risks in a true survival situation is just plain stupid. Survivorman's Les on the other hand teaches sound techniques and teaches a calm steady mindset. Survival is not a game, or an adventure. It is a life or death situation that must be approached with the utmost respect for your situation. Jumping off cliffs or running down steep embankments is not respecting the situation.

I like manvswild. Bear takes some chances, but he does it to show people how to get out of certain situations.
I don't like survivorman. Les likes to whine and cry a lot. If you are in a real survival situation, whining and crying will get you killed.

Another vote for Survivorman. Bear tend to glamorize survival, and as others have said- take too many risks. Les tends to be more conservative with his survival methods, and more realistic.

I like Survivorman better, but I heard that he's hanging up the towel after this season- anyone else hear this?

The fellow on Man vs. Wild seems more interested in impressing people with how many disgusting meals he can "present". That doesn't mean his tips aren't useful, but he really spends a lot of time eating things without passing them over a fire. The only thing I have seen him actually cook was a skunk he snared.
Survivorman feels more genuine. He's all alone, he's not looking for ways to make his survival experience more dramatic or more dangerous. He isn't nearly as testosterone driven as the other fellow.

I think that Bear gets paid based on how many slugs/grubs he can eat in a single episode!
