Ive got a pretty basic car emergency kit, but what else should I throw in there specifically for the dry, hot climate of the desert?
Any suggestions?

If you don't already have them, include flairs, loose fitting light colored clothing, a light tan or white colored tent, light colored umbrella, lip balm, nasal spray, rope and stakes for your tent, and a portable water filter.
