Hi there! My name is Lori..my other half Tom I'm sure will be checking in...
We live on the east coast of Wisconsin....and have decided....
yup it's time to get ready for the next big thing!!
We have seven children, two of whom are currently serving in the United States Marine Corps (one son one daughter) and five still dependent on us....scares me to death to not be prepared....I'm only 37 and too young to think of living poorly because of failing to react....
So we're diving in full force..... I refuse to become a statistic!!!
I so look forward to all I have to learn!!
I can't wait to "meet" you all!!

Wowwwwwwwwwwwww Lori, you are only 37 and with nine kids??? ??? AND TWO OF THEM IN THE MARINES????????????, ARE THEY ALLLLLLLLLLLL YOUR OWN? I believe that God gave you the ones that I din't want......I feel that I would never have been a good father so that I decided not to have any......but.........kudos to you Anyway.......start with a couple of 25lbs sacks of rice and black beans.......then visit the $$$$$ store where you can still find some good buys for $1.00..........used to be better in the old days. You can also get a pretty good 1st aid kit by also buying from the $$$$$$ store. I am an army of one and even with a 8 years of food supply at hand I still don't feel that I am ready.......

oh no no not NINE kids...
There's nine of us total!!
Seven kids!! I have four of my own..Tom has two of his own....and we've picked up a stray along the way...making us Nine total!! My daughter along with Tom's son joined the Marines, they're 18 and 19 respectively..
Our others are 15, 15, 8 and six. These are the ones that make me so very frightened and determined all at once to not be caught with my "proverbial" pants down!!
I admire you for not having children...I think a whole lot of the problems with America today goes back to the people who have had no business having children.... I'll just step away from that soapbox.....
I am happy to have found this forum..it's all I've talked about all day!!
Thank for you for the welcome!!

Thanks Estal..
Our "stray" was my 12 year old daughters (at the time they're both 15 now) best friend...it was going to be foster or group home for her, due to circumstances beyond her control...
so as if being a recently divorced mother of four didn't make me crazy enough...we made room for one more. As myy Polish immigrant Grandmother would say "guest is coming add some more water to the soup". We've made her our own now....just like if there was wasen't ever a time that she wasn't here.

Ohh really sweet, well, really this action is important to be noticed and taken in emergencies too, supporting our societies with such actions, specially after disasters there are always plenty of these kids that need new homes and families.
