We should be cautious about the Juices we drink..Here are some tips on how to choose a juice.

1) Carton juices are not fresh
Citrus juices are rich in vitamin C. Unfortunately the vitamin is very sensitive when exposed to oxygen and since chilled cartons and refrigerated boxes are penetrable to air; they retain very small amount of vitamin C.

2) Check the Expiry Date
If you must buy these boxed juices, look at the expiry date. The nearer the expiry date, the less taste and vitamin C it will contain.

3) Watch those labels
Beverages labeled juice must contain 100 % juice. Products labeled juice blends, fruit punches, fruit drinks or juice cocktails and the other variety labels most of the time will be largely made of sugar and water. Only a small amount of juices are traceable.

4) Seal your juices correctly
Since these juices could lose their vitamins when exposed, use a tight glass jar to store your fresh-squeezed juice.

My stepdaughter used to drink capri sun all the time. (she died in a car accident at 16) Anyway I told her mom that if she checked the label it says 10% juice. You may as well give her Kool-aid with all that sugar in it. I gave my boys Juicy juice. It`s "supposed" to be 100% juice.
