I find this completely disgusting. But what is worse is the fact that I really feel that we will face a civil war against Muslims and Islam in the next few years.

Muslim protesters disrupt British Veterans Day celebration

While residents of Spokane and north Idaho honor American veterans, Britons celebrate the day known as Armistice Day.

But this Armistice Day celebration was marked with protests by Muslims carrying signs reading, "British soldiers burn in hell", and "Our dead are in paradise, your dead are in hell".

According to an article at The Scottish Sun, an organization known as Muslims Against Crusades desecrated the day by burning a model of a poppy, the symbol of that nations debt to its service men and women killed in action.

The Sun reported that the group met some resistance, however, when 50, "counter demonstrators from the English Defense League assembled nearby".

But despite the protests, the nation paused at 11 am to remember the moment the guns fell silent at the end of World War 1.

One woman who lost a son in Afghanistan expressed her disgust to the Sun:

“There are people like myself that at 11am today were remembering the lives of our children, and then there are some people doing something so hurtful as that. I think it’s atrocious.”

“We’re talking about individuals who have died for their country”

Three protesters were arrested, one for assaulting a police officer. One officer was taken to the hospital after suffering a head injury.

But the protests did not stop the ceremony. According to the Sun,

The road was closed and crowds lined the street for the wreath laying amid applause as Victoria and George Cross holders took their places around the monument.

Among those attending was Lance Corporal Matt Croucher, of the Royal Marines Reserve, who was awarded the George Cross for bravery.

One man, whose son was kill in combat, noted the irony of the protests. According to an article at The Blaze, he said, “My son went to Iraq with the Marines fighting for Muslims to get rid of a tyrant so they could have some freedom.”

And this is the thanks given for that freedom.
