#1 singles of a like mind[ platonic or otherwise]. on matchmaker sites they aren't "of a like mind"[survival interest, prep. etc.] #2 old birds[ they aren't 1st choice in survival groups, so might need 2 band together 4 security, resources,etc. & do the best we can] better than lone wolf. #3-4sale/swap [members]. may be these can't be done but i think would be useful. possibly suggested b4 & shot dn. I don't think turning this site into a singles dating site would be productive.

Anyone that leaves the older people behind are stupid. I know some elderly that know more about survival than anyone. They grew up during the depression, they know what is going on. Besides that I know some old guys that can shoot. They are better than any of the young kids I see at the range. Older people are too big of an asset to kick to the curb.

What I would like to see are threads so people from different areas can talk, possibly meet and form or strengthen a group.

But..........we could use one for the economy, after all the economy is the reason for being a survivalist........at this time.

howdy dclaarjr, thanks for your replies. i'd like to explain,"buying guns"-- i'm just a person thinking to buy a gun,ammo [in fl.] & don't know the rules, thought a fl. person might ans. [it's o.k., i can find out elsewhere.] -"tv to pc", they advertise a device [about $40] that will stream tv programs to your pc [free] & you can cancel cable,sat.,etc. probably a con,thought may be someone had tried it [i tried & found worthwhile a internet phone device $40] cancelled sprint & saved mucho $$$ soo, i was hoping tv angle might be same result.finally, i'm new here & certainly not trying to change the site [it's a GOD send] but, my situation [old,semi-handicaped,single] has put me in a precarious survival position. was not suggesting a "dating,romance,etc.forum topic",but, too much to learn & do alone & i don't want to attract fruiters.like i said, on the other sites [matchmaking/dating] people are looking for something other than what i'm looking for [a survival partner]. was just trying to improve my odds & someone elses also.you've not been in my shoes,so i guess you wouldn't understand.next time i have another hairbrained idea i'll run it by you first. thanks for your help keeping me straight, your friend, 2dogs
