What do you think are the top five priorities that the new government will have to address, in the next four years?

The top priorities that I might think of for the new government are

1. Rebuilding the economy.
2. Favorable end to war on terror
3. Infrastructure development.
4. Social development and harmony
5. Changes in foreign policy.

I would have to say economy, war, public confidence, green energy, congress and the list goes on.

1. Rebuilding the economy and lowering government spending in areas like the enforcement of anti-marijuana laws, which is a waste.

2. Rebuilding the economy by going through the personal assets of people who got huge bonuses as the banks and other financial institutions they ran went belly up. Get that bonus money and anything purchased with it back and pumping it back into programs that help the average person.

Those are the two main issues I can come up with, right now.

What I would like:

1.) Either fix or let the economic recession that we're currently experiencing run it's course. Stop the bailouts, and stop just printing money.
2.) Allow Israel to take care of Iran. They're itching to do this, let's get out of their way, and offer mid-flight fueling.
3.) Repeal the Patriot Act, and all other legislation passed in the past 10 years that gives more power to the Feds.
4.) Downsize the government. For every dollar spent, 50 cents is wasted. If the United States government was a company, we'd be bankrupt by now.
5.) Emphasize state's rights. If California wants to legalize marijuana- let them. If Montana wants to remove the speed limit from their state- let them.

Of course, I don't see any of these happening any time soon. Still, it never hurts to be hopeful.
