First aid kits are very necessary during critical times. It is always good to carry them wherever we travel. I have a long list of items in first aid kit and I had made sure that none of the essential items are missed.

The items in my first aid bag are

1.Sterile adhesive bandages in assorted sizes

2. 2-inch and 4-inch sterile gauze pads (4-6 of each)

3.Triangular bandages

4.Scissors

5.Tweezers

6. Needle

7.Moistened towelettes

8.Antiseptic

9.Thermometer Tongue blades

10.Tube of petroleum jelly or other lubricant

I would also add a triple antibiotic ointment as well. I have a lot of first aid items in my kit that go well beyond this.

I think that the most important points are mentioned by the OP. I got our first aid kit from our car insurance company and its pretty good.

Add some of that rubbing alcohol in that list. That can be used for all kinds of things.

Add some menthol sprays to the list, which are mainly used to treat persons who suddenly suffer from acute sprains.
