This is not for the squeamish.

I highly recommend including two menstrual cups in your bug out bag. I do recommend them in general, but they are the only way to be sure you can survive without female supplies. A silicone cup can be boiled once a day.

I've tried 3 of them, I prefer the silicone ones.


Pine Tar soap is very effective at keeping the feminine regions and major body creases free of fungal infections. It also makes quite a good shampoo. A little citric acid powder mixed with water makes a good rinse.

My favorite is Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap.

My mom was in the Army, her camping equipment always included Pine Tar Soap (She preferred packer's Pine Tar Soap).

Thanks for this info. Although I find it a bit awkward while imagining how to use it, I think that it can or may work it times of desperate need.
