Hey Sark ... you need to open-up a little and let us know how your really feel

.
Generations of Americans have now grown-up in a public educational system without the benefit of learning/discussing our Constitution, Bill of Rights, or even the overwhelming role religion played in the founding of our nation. To a large degree, American history (even when correctly taught) has taken a back-seat to quasi-globalism and the learning about inclusion of "other cultures" into our society. Don't get me wrong, learning about other cultures is a good thing, but political correctness has deemed American history exclusionary ... to our own detriment. Likewise, the roles/responsiblities of the US military (vice National guard) is also misunderstood. For example, to this day many still do not understand that the President of the United States COULD NOT send military assistance (soldiers) into Louisiana to render assistance after Katrina until the Governer of that State AUTHORIZED them to do so. I'm not saying Bush was wonderful, but the media and opposition deliberately twisted reality (over and over) on that occasion to drive an anti-Bush policy ... which many just ignorantly relished. FWIW ... America can only remain true to her founding principles when its citizens understand those principles. Based on mutliple goverment administrations, I don't feel much comfort.
