Having dental injuries can also be dangerous. We can get trauma in our face and teeth because of physical accidents like falling, playing sports and other intense physical activities. Because of these accidents, it may cause bleeding, disorientation, dizziness, headache, etc. Most of the time oral surgery is needed due to fractures not only of teeth but of the upper and lower jaw. There are so many factors of dental injuries or accidents this is why prevention is needed. Braces and mouthgaurds are among one of the known preventive measures. Are there any other way to help treat or prevent us from dental accidents?

While dental injuries are bad, wouldn't the peripheral injuries to the head and neck be of greater concern? The mechanism of insult and the force required to break a jaw would surely result in your having to deal with head and neck problems first, right?
