I found a few resources online for cheese making using store bought milk! you have to use whole milk but it would be fun to make cheese at home from a gallon of milk! Imagine making cheese when stores have milk sales!

Have you actually tried this yet? I would be interested to see how it turns out and what actually is involved in making it. It would be a good resource to learn how to make your own cheese.

I had tried making cheese making before but haven't really succeeded on a great level. Further it is time consuming and sometimes you will lost interest in making cheese.

I've always thought it sounded like a good idea, then I've just never tried it. It's on the list! My husband was raised on a farm so when he retires he wants to buy a small farm 100 acre farm.. Once we have unlimited access to milk, I'm sure I'll be learning the art of cheesemaking! I'd love to hear success (and failure) stories from folks who have made cheese at home.

I love cheese and it very expensive in my country. I also came up with the idea to make my own cheese and I tried to do it. It was extremely time consuming and the outcome was not very good.
