Cleaning a carptet depends on the type of spilled substance on your carpet, carpet material and its
style.i think it is recommended to send your carpet to a cleaning service professional once a year
at least.but for a spill on the carpet, you can remove it immediately with a tissue.

Don't forget that cleaning your carpet immediately from any spilled substance extends your carpet's
life.So make sure you take care of this at the spot.

I wash that part of the carpet with a detergent solution and warm water ,then apply some powder to this part, this avoids the spread of water to the rest of the carpet.

You can use regular vacuuming and spot treatment will improve the quality and life span of your carpets and upholstery. However remember that carpet spot removal products are made with some of the most dangerous chemicals and should always be applied when wearing gloves and in an area with good ventilation.

Well as manojjonam10 mentioned, some dry cleaning solvents can be used such as carbona.but be sure this solvent suits your carpet material too.

if butter was spilled on your carpet, you can scrape gently with a blunt knife, before wash with water added to it washing solvent.
