I am from the philippines and found this site helpful because from the url alone it says so much of what this site all about.

the philippines is near the belt of fire and some part of the country, mostly islands lie in the pacific belt of fire. that is why it not new to us the natural disaters that strikes the philippines. We have yearly experiences of earthquakes although not as strong as the new zealand. We experience mostly a magnitude of 3-4, pretty good enough to shake buildings but not shatters them

However, since we are located in the pacific, we almost meet and unfortunately experience heavy tropical storms we call as "Bagyo". And as such the need for preparation is very needed.

In a year we average 30-45 tropical storms in the country although most of them are tolerable.

Aside from storm we also experience here frequent fire that swept down houses and forest. Specially in the summer

that is why, this forum captures my attention

I expect to have many questions raised here and as well as read my important and relevant post
