I haven't been able to get out to the army surplus store in my area because of its location, so I am not always up on what is available.

I have seen c-rations and dehydrated foods at the surplus store, but are MREs starting to hit surplus shelves yet?

MREs have been available in my area for about 6 years.
According to some they are ok others say they need spice the longer they sit and some would rather not eat them at all.
We had been looking at them and are not so sure, considering they have a three year expiration at.

Epicenter has a great selection of MRE's, Freeze Dried, and dehydrated foods. Check out this URL:
theepicenter.com/military_surplus.html, And i hope this will be a valuable piece of information.

I would love to get a hold of the stuff that My uncle used to get.
He used to get these wonderful blankets, and the rations were really good. teh pants fit so much better than the ones today as was the fatigue jacket that my dad had as holey as it was warm. I had a pair of real WWII navy big bell bottom jeans.. sigh no longer made. I wonder if theer is any WWII/Korean Conflict goods still floating around.?
