And here I was ready to buy a few of these manuals off of eBay. Now I can save them to my computer for free. A great find indeed.

Since I couldn't get into these manuals, I thought perhaps y'all might want to take a look at the Survival manual. It's part of a really good survival site called Equipped to Survive. They perform "independent reviews of survival equipment and outdoors gear, as well as survival and Search and Rescue information". heres the link to the manual http://www.equipped.com/fm3-0570.htm

It looks as though they have recently added a login section to the site. You can register for free and get full access to the manuals (as well as the ability to download them). You do not need to be in the military to register either, you can check of civilian.

Thanks guys for posting this.. I don't have anything nearly that detailed, just basic stuff... Now I'll know how to "interact with the local population" if I have to evacuate to Vermont....

Seriously, I need to get more computer paper, I need a hard copy of this one for sure.

The second link you posted work well. Thanks for the survival manual it is great anyway. I had no survival manual just a few articles about how to survive. This manual would be a valuable addition to my inventory.

This is an excellent resource on how some of the highest trained professionals in today's military survive in the elements. Pretty interesting information!
