· Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting
· Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
· You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.
· Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.
· 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.
· Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware.

The more we know, the better chance we could survive...

Eve? hummmmmmmmmmmmm now you got me worried......... twice in two weeks I have woken up with "pain?" in my chest.......I don't know if I could call it "pain" because is more like a big burp trapped in the center of my chest.........even thou I don't have "jaw pain" it does feel like if I have a tooth ache.....and I don't have any teeth.

This has happened a few times in the past and what I do is to make a fist with my right hand and hit myself in the chest a few times.......I usually sit up till it goes away and then go back to sleep.

Is there a Dr. in the house????????

A heart attack occurs when blood flow to a section of heart muscle becomes blocked. If the flow of blood isn’t restored quickly, the section of heart muscle becomes damaged from lack of oxygen and begins to die.

Heart attack is a leading killer of both men and women in the United States. But fortunately, today there are excellent treatments for heart attack that can save lives and prevent disabilities. Treatment is most effective when started within 1 hour of the beginning of symptoms. If you think you or someone you’re with is having a heart attack, call 9–1–1 right away.
