A reminder why you shouldn't fish too close to the water
*WARNING - GRAPHIC AND POTENTIALLY DISTURBING PICTURES ATTACHED TO THIS POST*
I got these pictures forwarded to me in an email today. I have no doubt that the photos are legitimate. Just remember not to stand too close to the water when fishing or hiking in these sort of areas.

God, this is so sad. I remember a few weeks before in Australia a boy was taken by a crocodile and killed near a river where he was playing by. I guess people have to be more caution while standing near lakes and other water bodies for pleasure activities.

Its so nasty images and so bad to watch but that does not drive me away from here, we should always keep in mind as not to go too close to the river, or we will be like this.

This just shows how important training and knowledge are. You need to know the dangers of the area where you are going to be, and you need to know how to identify that the danger may be approaching. This doesn't just apply to Crocs in Australia, but to any dangerous animal in any area. Knowledge and awareness are very important keys to survival.

Goodness.
I'll have to remember to have a snack handy before I come visit these threads. That made me a little peckish and I have nothing within arms reach.

Did they ever identify who it was inside the alligator bag?
I have yet to figure out why some people think humans are at the top of the food chain.

Thats pretty bad. In my area I dont have to worry about crocs but black bears and cougars are defintely things to watch out for, so I think that this illustrates the need to always be perpared for anything that involves wild animals.
