Greetings from the near center of the lower 48!
With recent events ratcheting higher each and every day I find myself feeling a greater urgency to be ready for what is inevitably coming. That would be the partial collapse of our everyday lives and the order that we've enjoyed from birth. Political and geological circumstances seem to be aligning for the perfect storm. I have no science behind that statement, just a 50 year plus of observing our country and nature. Everybody is operating at a heightened level of anxiety. The government is nearly to blows in both houses, the common folk have been pushed to the limits of reason, the military is spread to thin, immmigration is a joke. . . . You name one facet of this country that is operating smoothly, please? I thought so. I worked until retirement in the belly of the beast as a government employee in a community that relies on the US Army and a State University for it's only industry, a bedroom community without the ties that bind due to the age and transient nature of the area temporary residents. So this area will be a evacuation launch pad when it hits the fan. This on top of the fact that you can't balance a house of cards anywhere in this world right now without a trembler knocking it down has me completing my preps in short order. I don't and probably won't post much but more likely will be learning by reading and doing. If I find something that I find useful I will gladly share. I hope that all of you are further along towards your comfort zone in preparation than I am. I also hope to glean current prep info from your experiences so please keep your posts coming.

PS- I am not a bug-outer, but rather, a shelter in placer. To old to run and to grouchy to argue with. I am not 10 foot tall and bullet proof. My calmness in stressful situations has been called "scarey". So I have decided to rule my world until the proper order is restored, and if restored!
