Hello everyone.

I have been posting here for a while and have offered me services to help moderate the forums since the site has begun to grow rapidly.

Here is a little about my background as it pertains to survival:

I grew up around firearms from a young age and was exposed to hunting, gardening, and taught to be self sufficient.
I spent 10 years in the Army working as a Combat Engineer and spent some time in the Rangers. My training has included explosives, booby traps, land mines, bridges, survival, small unit tactics, operating in extreme conditions in all types of terrain and environments.

I have always been interested in survival, but more from an outdoors, have a good time and see if you can do it aspect. In the last few years I have begun to see what is happening in the world and have realized that more extensive preparations are in order. I am more concerned with the lack government ability to respond to disasters. Hurricane Katrina is an example, but not the only disaster I am speaking of. As far as economic failure happening, it could, but as resilient as our nation is, I believe we will pull through. I am preparing just in case I am wrong.

My motto for survival is "Hope for the best, but plan for the worst."

My goal is to help everyone here that I can.

LOL pardner........if you have "offered" your services that means that you want some control over this board ........for our own "good"???????????

The job of a moderator is to be given for good performance and not because someone asked for it............so.........if you become a moderator then I am outttttttttt of here.

Me a moderator? no way Jose........I would use the power to bash the Zionist wanabe Jews so that I am better living under the gun of the founders of this forum, but of course that does not means that I won't go crazy and one of this days do it anyway.

I have been kicked out of more than 15 forums for speaking up my mind (what little there is of it) hahahahahahha, so in reality one more does not matter.

To the founders of this forum.......I haven't seen any need for a so called moderator sinse no rules have been broken.......the more rules that you have the less free that your will be.

First off, as a longtime member of this site, I would be disappointed to see you leave. As far as I know, dclaarjr and I are passionate about this topic and were looking for a way to get more involved with promotion of the site as well as helping out with the site directly. From the Admin, I was told that the only real issue with this site is to make sure that the new threads are being placed in the right forums as several topics have had to be moved. The site is growing to the point that the Admin can't keep up with reading every pot to make sure it's in the right spot, so we're here to help. No one is saying any rules have been broken and no one is looking to crack down on any users or posts. I think this is a great forum and look forward to it seeing even greater success as we move forward. Hope you stick around, Ponce.

Ponce, there is no reason for you to worry about me, and I would hate to see you go. As I stated, this site is growing and the admin is only one person. I offered to help because I like where this site is going and want to help it grow. I do not want control of anything. The only personal reason I have for doing this, is there is a lot to be learned by all of us. The more the site grows, the more we all can learn. If I can help I am just making more knowledge available for me to use.

I know we haven't agreed on everything. That is fine. We all have opinions on different issues, and do not always agree. If you keep an open mind you can learn from anyone. There are things that you have posted that I have added bits and pieces of to how I prep and plan to survive.

Right now the only duties I have as a moderator are cleaning up duplicate posts and moving posts to the correct forum. I will never use my moderator privileges to delete or change any post anyone has made that I do not agree with.

You need to stick around my friend, you are a valuable resource for these forums.
