Thankfully we have not suffered any physical damage to our home or property. Mentally however dealing with no electricity with a family of four which includes an almost 2 year old (happy birthday on Sept 22) and a 3 month old is definitly trying. Reading and playing are a must.... but we are doing well. Thankfully we are able to use our propane grill, even if it's to make chef boyardee!
My only panic was to move out some stored/frozen breastmilk to my in-laws house as that was the only thing that was irreplaceable. Deep freeze is now hooked up to a generator thankfully. Hurricane lamps are full and quite pleasant to light the house enough.
How is everyone else making out? Wishing you had prepared any differently?
Glad you are getting by without too much trouble. It's amazing how much different your life can be when you lose the modern conveniences that make up our daily routine. I've been wondering how everyone is faring. We're isolated from the latest stuff here in Michigan, but I have friends all along the east coast.
